After watching Horton the Elephant's debut on Broadway, we headed to Keller to have dinner with the Scroggins side of the family. The kids are always excited to see their cousins, and Aunt Cathy always has the best toys. The boys spent the afternoon building "cities" for their cars, and jumping in piles of leaves. Madison was the only girl this year, and spent hours playing with a dollhouse and learning to play chess with Todd.
While the kids played, the rest of us caught up on our day to day. We also all had the chance to read a letter from Colin-Todd's cousin who is stationed in Afghanistan through next summer. It was nice to hear that he is doing well, and that our packages have been received and appreciated by his entire unit. Our thoughts were with him throughout the day.
Dinner was served, and Todd loaded up his plate. He loves his Grandmother's Dressing.
Every bite of it.
After dinner, we headed back home to watch our Dear Old Ags run out of time playing those t-sips. A sad moment, but one definitely overshadowed by the many blessings of the day.
