Germanfest and 5K #2

So, I ran in my 2nd 5K yesterday, and didn't do as awesome as I'd wanted. Somehow my time was better than the last, but I wimped out and walked in the middle. Shelly and Crystal ran too, so I think we've started ourselves a little tradition.

Todd had to go to Las Vegas, so I was a single mom for the day, but it turned out to be one of the best Mommy days I've ever had. We strolled away from the group for a while and I gave the kids $10 each to spend. They chose between Rick climbing, jump housing, and silly gaming. We finished it out by watching a magic show, and I actually lost track of how long we were gone. When we got back to home base our clan was preparing to leave, but we stayed through the Beatles cover band. The prize moment was when all three sang along to Hey Jude. :) Minimal fighting, tons of aggreeability, hugs, kisses, and sappy pictures. It was my bday, mothers day, and Christmas all at once!
